“It all started with a table”

When patrons cross the threshold of Sheffield’s Block 10, a coffee, lunch and event venue, they’re following the footsteps of former basketball players, preschoolers and more.

1921 City Hall wasn’t always a modern lounge and event setting. The building has boasted many titles over its lifetime, including a city hall, a basketball gym, a home, a preschool, a taxidermist’s office, a security alarm company and, finally, the café-restaurant that has called Sheffield home for just over a year.

An auction was being held in the building over three years ago, and the Coffees were viewing an old table that was up for sale.

However, they ended up with more than just the table. The whole building, in fact.
