4-H students throng to Franklin Wellness Center for annual dodgeball tournament

Dodgeball may not seem like the friendliest of sports but it was all smiles Sunday night at the Franklin Wellness Center.

Nearly 70 children and adults flocked to the wellness center for the annual 4-H Dodgeball Tournament. Jackie Dohlman, Franklin County Extension Youth Coordinator, said the event brings 4-H clubs throughout the area together for a night of friendly competition.

She said the event is always a favorite among children and volutneers because it allows 4-H’ers to meet one another and make lasting connections.

“I think it’s an awesome opportunity for 4-H’ers to get to know others from throughout the county,” she said. “All 4-H’ers have that common thread and that allows them to get to know each other.”
