Abandoned Pup Finds A Home In Rockwell

A trio of abandoned puppies made waves last March after they were discovered on Interstate 35 near Clear Lake. Today one of those puppies is living happily in Rockwell at his new home with the Whitney family.

On March 28 a couple driving on I-35 discovered the three puppies near the road. Initially thinking they were skunks due to two of them being black and white, the couple quickly realized that they were puppies and stopped to pick them up.

Not finding any signs of identification, the couple took the puppies to Patriots for Pets, a volunteer pet rescue shelter in Clear Lake.
