American Legion Auxiliary and Rockwell Community Nursing Home Costume Party

This was the 8th year that the American Legion Auxiliary Post 208 of Rockwell and the Rockwell Community Nursing Home combined to co-host the annual costume party on Sunday afternoon October 28th. Fifty-eight youngsters participated and each of them were awarded a Halloween necklace and a treat. The children were divided up into age groups. They paraded around the room for the residents and the many spectors. Three local judges were given the very difficult task to choose a most Halloween, a most Original, and a most Comical costumed child from each group. They were rewarded with a 2 dollar bill. All the children were then, able to trick or treat with the residents passing out the goodies. Thank you to Pat Sheldon, Cleo Swenson, and Ruth Reimers for volunteering their time to be our judges.
