Arbegast, Hansen win sectional titles

EAGLE GROVE – A week of rest did Jarel Arbegast’s body good.

Sitting out the tough Top of Iowa Conference wrestling meet aided the West Fork 170-pound senior as he won the Class 1A sectional title at Eagle Grove along with teammate Jake Hansen, who is a four-time district qualifier.

“First off, it helped me rest my hips, gave them a little break from the intensity before,” Arbegast said. “I got to take some time, watch a little bit of the competition and know what I needed to do, what I needed to work on. Just seeing some of the kids, what’s going on and came out and performed well and did exactly what I needed to do..."
