Beds turn at Franklin General Hospital Auxiliary Quilt Show

The basketball courts of the Franklin Wellness Center were decorated from floor to ceiling with over 60 quilts from residents in the Franklin County area, either handmade, passed down, purchased or found at an auction.

This past Saturday, Oct. 21, the community was invited to witness these quilts from varying eras, and of varying decorative designs, as well as listen to a guest bed turning and learn about quilt appraising.

From 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., with a $5 admission, guests could see the quilts, enter into door prize contests, pick up some treats and coffee, have their quilts appraised and shop among the available vendors.

Two seminars were open to the public Saturday, including a bed turning from guests David and Candy Wagner, as well as a seminar about quilt appraising.
