Candidates file for Council, School Board positions

Thursday, Sept. 19 was the filing deadline for candidates seeking to earn City Council or School Board positions in area communities.

Here are the candidates who have filed for election in the various communities: Sheffield School Board — Incumbent Rob Helmbuch has filed for the District 1 position, along with Jeffrey Tudor.

No one filed for the District 2 spot City Council — Incumbent Scott Sanders filed for the position of Mayor.

Filing for the three City Council spots up for election were incumbents Jill Peterson, Brad Mulford and Dave Smit, along with Ashley Francis.
