Cerro Gordo County collision results in injuries
McKenna Blong, 18, of Mason City, ran a stop sign at the intersection of 305th Street and Thrush Avenue south of Plymouth in Cerro Gordo County, causing a two-car accident on June 25.
According to a press release from the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, Blong was traveling eastbound on 305th Street in a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero and failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection. Also in the car was one-month-old Joseph Eberling, of Mason City. Jack Shade, 53, of Plymouth, was traveling northbound in a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, and struck the passenger side of Blong’s car. Both vehicles ended up in the northeast ditch in the area.
