City government officials are up for re-election

     ROCKWELL — Three Rockwell city government officials, four from Thornton and  four from Swaledale are up for re-election this year.     In Rockwell, Mayor Michael Flatness will be seeking a two-year term, while City Council members Larry Wentz and Brian Koob will both be seeking four-year terms.

     In Thornton, Mayor Mike Jensen will be seeking a two-year term, while City Council members Betty Jensen, Larry Stadtlander and Michael Hopkey will be seeking four-year terms.

     In Swaledale, Mayor John Drury will be seeking a two-year term, and City Council members John Bonner, Jalynn Eddy and Cindy McDermott will be seeking four-year terms.

     Nomination papers for those positions may be picked up by potential candidates at the Auditor’s Office at the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse. The completed papers must be turned in at the same place by Thursday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m.

     Election day will be Tuesday, Nov. 5.
