Dishing up a victory

SHEFFIELD — Morgan Meier broke the season school record for assists on a night when it could have been one-and-done for the West Fork girls’ basketball team.

But with Central Springs trying to make it a game, pulling within single digits at 3 minutes, 35 seconds to go, it was a steal by a freshman that essentially sealed the deal as coach Rodney Huber’s team pulled away for the 46-33 victory.

The Warhawks had a comfortable 29-15 halftime lead, but a Panther concerted effort both on offense and defense made it a lot less comfortable.

“Probably not until the end,” Huber said of when he started to feel comfortable again...
