FCDA: fiber-optic internet a priority for Hampton Industrial Park

As the digital demands of society increase and push on businesses to adapt, the increasing need for infrastructure to sustain improved access to the internet proves a costly challenge, especially to areas of rural America where there are miles of space between customers, making new-age improvements hard without a steady profit.

“I have been told ‘we can’t continue doing business here under these conditions’ [from some at the Hampton Industrial Park],” said Franklin County Development Association Director Karen Mitchell. “Another has said ‘we may have to move.’”
