Construction is nearly complete on a new True Value hardware store joining Rockwell, which will be attached to the Rockwell Area Market.

Ever since owner Nick Graham purchased the grocery store last March, he wanted to build a hardware store to accompany it. He had previously added one to his other grocery store, Ackley Super Foods, and saw positive results. He thought the same model of providing a local resource for hardware supplies would work for the Rockwell Area Market.

That goal became a reality when construction on the new store started on May 24, 2017, and Graham is now anticipating project completion by the end of August.

“I’m glad it’s going to be wrapped up,” Graham said. “[It has gone] really good. I’ve been pretty happy. We’ve had a great team of contractors in here, it came in right at budget, [there were] no real surprises or unanticipated expenses, so that’s always a plus.”
