First Rockwell animal control ordinance public hearing passes smoothly

The Rockwell city council held the first public hearing in a series of several to finalize their animal control ordinance reform, which abolishes breed-specific terms that created upset among local dog owners.

“I just want to say thank you for all that you guys have done for us and our dogs,” said Nancy Levenhagen, Rockwell resident.

The council moved to have public hearings at its next two regular assemblies in September for residents who could not attend the first.
