Franklin County ranks 29 in Health Outcomes; 63 in Health Factors

The annual County Health Rankings and Roadmaps report was released this past March. The report, complied by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, measures several health factors in states across the country including but not limited to: high school graduation rates, obesity, smoking, unemployment, access to healthy foods, the quality of air and water, income inequality and other factors and outcomes of health.

This year, Franklin County ranked 29 out of 99 in Health Outcomes (last year 36), which consists of length and quality of life. The county then ranked 63 out of 99 for its health factors (last year 62), which are descriptors of health including: smoking, obesity, teen birth, poverty, etc.
