Huber celebrates 100th win with Warhawks

SHEFFIELD — After coach Rodney Huber notched career win No. 100 with West Fork, the Warhawks celebrated No. 101 with a hard-fought, close 52-49 victory at home against St. Ansgar on Friday, Jan. 25.

Defense had to come up big when free throws weren’t falling for coach Huber’s team in the final few minutes.

Kenna Weaver came up with a couple of big takeaways in the final minute against a hard-charging Saints team as the Warhawks improved to 12-4, 10-2 in the Top of Iowa East Conference.

“We probably didn’t handle it as well as we could have, missing free throws and if we make the free throws, we’re probably not in that type of situation,” Huber said...
