Hubka focused for No. 15 West Fork

SHEFFIELD – Something’s different with West Fork and three-year starter in the circle, Rachael Hubka.

It’s noticeable right from the start, with Hubka using a routine that clearly works for her before she pitches.

She’ll take a moment at the very back of the circle before she toes her mark and throws a pitch. It’s something she admits it new that she is doing each time.

“I have (done it in the past),” Hubka said, “but I don’t think I’ve necessarily cleared my head every single time that I do now and I think that’s really helped because sometimes after strikeouts I get really too excited and then I can’t pitch..."
