Linn Grove Holds Kids Tournament

The Linn Grove Country Club invited area kids for a children's tournament on Monday, July 21. Eighteen kids spent the late morning playing nine holes of golf out on the course.

     Participating in the tournament was (back) Trey Pfeffer, Matthew Starr, Garret Andersen, Mitchell Halloran, Lukas Wogen, Zach Martinek, Zach Laudner, Lucas King; (middle) Kaiden Myers, Kendall Myers, Bennett Berger, Landon Klang; (front) Nate Akins, Kayden Ames, Colin Martinek, Hannah Lowe, Rebecca DeLong, and Ashley DeLong.

     "It was just for fun," said manager Julie Hansen. "We got them out there and taught them a bit about golf."

     Later that night children aged 4-10 were invited to return for a nighttime glow ball tournament followed by a smore party.
