Madison Street Bridge Project Scheduled

The Rockwell City Council discussed bridges and buildings during their regular meeting on Wednesday, April 16.

     A tentative schedule has been made for the Madison Street Bridge project. Taylor Construction has informed the city that they won't begin work on the bridge until June 2, the latest possible start date. The reason for pushing the start date to the last possible day is due to not knowing exactly when the concrete beams will be available and this will minimize the amount of time the bridge is out-of-use.

     "He was pretty adamant about his beams," said Mayor William Sheldon. "He said it really gets ugly when you got a hole for thirty days."
