Meservey Death Deemed Unsuspicious By DCI

Law enforcement responded to a report of a deceased Meservey resident on Friday, February 27. According to other publications, Brooke Avery, 35, was discovered in her home by Cerro Gordo County deputies.

            Because of the age of the deceased, the death was investigated by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the body sent to the State Medical Examiner's office in Ankeny. The investigators are still waiting for autopsy results to determine what the cause of death was, but at the moment it appears that no foul play was involved.

            "At this time there doesn't appear to be anything suspicious in nature," said DCI Spokesman Alex Murphy. "There's nothing the public should be concerned about at this point."
