Meservey native to join new Sheffield dentistry practice

Starting in January 2018, Briana Lage, of Meservey, will join the new Central Park Dentistry office at 213 W Gilman St. in Sheffield.

Lage, soon-to-be-Brayton after her marriage in September, 26, graduated from West Fork High School in 2009, attended Wartburg College for her undergraduate degree and went on to study at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She graduated in 2017 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.).

When she was younger, Lage knew she wanted to go into the medical field. She even looked into attending medical school. But when she discovered dentistry, she fell in love.

“When I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to go into the medical field, I did a lot of job shadowing,” Lage said. “And [I] kind of fell in love with dentistry as a profession. Because you are not only helping people medically, but you can help people with their self-esteem and confidence, and give them their smile back. I think that’s an amazing thing with dentistry.”
