N-P walks-off Warhawks

ROCKFORD – A promising season from the start for West Fork’s softball team, it all came to a screeching halt in the Class 1A Region 7 opener against Nashua-Plainfield as the Huskies walked-off, 7-6, on Monday, July 8.

The Warhawks started the season 6-0 and earned a brief ranking in Class 1A by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

But, with the loss at Rockford High School, coach Abbee Dickman’s team ended its season at 14-11.

“We just had some physical errors and I’m never going to get mad at those,” Dickman said. “You try to bounce back if things don’t go your way. We had calls that potentially didn’t go our way, there is nothing you can do about that..."
