Neighboring community braves weather for Emersyn Brown benefit

Last weekend’s early spring/late winter onslaught of icy precipitation didn’t stop the community of Saint Ansgar from making it to the South Square Community Center to enjoy a pancake breakfast benefit, which raised money for Emersyn Brown and her family.

Emersyn’s mother, Kelly Patterson, is married to Carter Patterson of Saint Ansgar. Carter is an assistant coach for the Saint Ansgar football team and works at Saint Ansgar State Bank; many of the volunteers were his athletes and colleagues.
