Relay For Life of Franklin County is this weekend

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is the largest voluntary health organization and is the nation's largest private, not-for-profit investor in cancer research. ACS is committed to finding cures and ensuring people facing cancer have the help they need and continues to fight for access to quality health care, lifesaving screenings and so much more. ACS is fighting every cancer in every community, every day.

Did you know that every person in this community has access and can benefit from the American Cancer Society? Phone lines are open around the clock, 365 days a year, to ease fears and give people all the answers they need about cancer. By calling 1-800-227-2345, anyone can get assis-tance from ACS.

Each year, the American Cancer Society’s National Cancer Information Center (NCIC) receives about 800,000 calls, emails and chats from people who are in need of answers. Callers may need in-formation and support or they may want to volunteer or make a donation. Those contacts lead to more than 1.7 million services being provided nationwide.

The annual Relay For Life event is the signature fundraising event in the community for the American Cancer Society to fund cancer research and help people going through their cancer journey. The 2018 Relay For Life of Franklin County will be held Friday, July 27 from 5-11 p.m., at the West Fork High School foot-ball field and track in Sheffield.
