Rockwell’s market gets a facelift

New owner continues to renovate

     For the last few months, the residents of Rockwell have enjoyed new ownership of the local grocery store in town.

     Rockwell Area Market, formally Dugan’s, was bought by Nick Graham, a resident of Rolf, at the end of March, and since then, he has brought a lot of positive changes to the location. Graham also has a claim to fame as previously dubbed the youngest grocer in America.

     Graham, 27, owns three grocery stores currently, with other locations in Ackley and Rolf.

     “I’ve looked at [the Rockwell location] a number times over the last  couple years; its close to Mason City, it’s a nice smaller town and some younger demographics, and I was able to come to a deal [with the previous owner],” Graham said.
