Rockwell Aquatic Center Improvements Completed
A round of renovations to improve the quality of the Rockwell Aquatic Center wrapped up at the beginning of May.
The nearly $28,000 project, funded through the Local Option Sales Tax (LOST), included having the pool professionally painted and the slides resurfaced.
This was the first time the pool has been professionally painted. In the past, members of the staff did it. This time around, ACCO Unlimited Corporation, of Johnston, repainted the pool white, and repainted black racing stripes and depth-change markers. The company also power washed the pool, patched cracks, tightened the ladders and completed other maintenance projects.
