Rockwell council continues alley mediation

A dispute between neighbors continued at the regular Rockwell City Council meeting on Wednesday, June 5 as Wanda Kruse and Pat Sheldon continued to debate the use of their shared alley.

The issue revolves around a series of trees in the alley planted by the Sheldons. At the previous meeting, Kruse requested that the Sheldons move the trees further into their property as they hinder her ability to mow. It was noted by the council at the time that practically everybody that lives on that block has something that encroaches into the alley and that if one person had to move something, everybody would.

Coming into the June meeting, Kruse reported that she had removed her property out of the alley and has offered to take care of the encroaching trees at her cost so that she can back a truck into her backyard.
