Rockwell Council discusses new budget and Public Works projects

The Rockwell City Council discussed the budget and a couple Public Works projects at their  quick regular meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

The City Council looked over the 2017-2018 budget and what each department is allocated.

The only question about the budget came from Councilman Andy Johnson, who asked what Linn Grove Recreation all included, as it was allocated $45,000. It was noted that this included the swimming pool as well as outdoor areas. It is the same amount as last year’s budget, and there wasn’t any further discussion on that issue.

Representatives from the Rockwell Public Library were in attendance to ask the Council to keep their current contribution to the library, which is $46,000. There were no objections from the Council.
