Rockwell Council Talks Pool and Water

The Rockwell City Council met with representatives from Hawkins Inc. to discuss changes to the Rockwell Aquatic Center's chlorine system during their regular meeting on Wednesday, October 15.

Hawkins representatives Chuck Pool and Bob Brown were at the meeting to explain the benefits of switching to a bulk system.

Repeating what was explained by an ACCO Unlimited representative at a previous meeting, Pool and Brown confirmed that the bulk system would not only be safer for the pool employees to manage, but would ultimately result in significant savings for the pool's chlorine budget. By cutting the current chlorine expense by roughly half, the estimated $3,000 cost of new equipment would be more than made up for in savings for next year.
