Rockwell gearing up for North Iowa Nationals

Rockwell’s 10th annual North Iowa Nationals truck and tractor pull is right around the corner, and the community is gearing up for the weekend that will bring thousands of people to the small town’s Chamber Acres.

The pull is scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, Jul 5-7. Ticket gates will open at 5 p.m. and the shows will commence at 7.

“This event started as something small, and [The Rockwell Lions Club] is amazed at how large it’s grown,” said Tim Nuehring, Rockwell Lions Club president, at the Rockwell City Council meeting last week.

As the Lions Club’s largest fundraiser of the year, the event draws in patrons and participants from all over the country; consequently, the city discussed preparations to ensure the influx of traffic and people runs smoothly.
