Rockwell pool closes for the season

     The Rockwell Aquatic Center has closed for the season after a good year of participation.

     The pool employs about 17 people throughout the summer, including lifeguards, management staff and concession workers.

     “It started out great in June, and slowed down when it turned rainy in July and the first part of August,” said Jeanelle Buseman, the pool manager, “But overall it seemed pretty normal.

     The pool closed on August 18, but that isn’t a set date each year. Buseman said it just depends on the staff; a lot of them are students or athletes that need time off when it gets closer to school. She said when scheduling becomes tougher they look toward when they will close it.
