Sheffield Library gets landscaping help through event

The Sheffield Public Library held a community work day last weekend to help landscape library grounds.

From 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Sept. 9 approximately 30 community members came out to the library bearing shovels, rakes and other gardening tools to help remove rock outside of the library, tear up landscaping fabric and turn dirt. The Sheffield Public Library Foundation coordinated the community event.

“We had a wonderful day for working on the landscaping project at the Sheffield Public Library [last] weekend,” said Sheffield Public Library Director Jessica Foreshoe via email. “It was hard work, but everything we set out to do was accomplished!”
