Sheffield still looking for second police officer

The Sheffield city council met on Tuesday, November 13 for their regular meeting at city hall.

At the meeting, Police Chief Sam Cain reported that several applications have been submitted from people interested in becoming the city’s second police officer. “We’ve got several good applicants,” said Cain.

None of the applicants are certified and would have to take some tests before going on duty, but Cain is confident he’ll be able to narrow down some candidates for the city to interview.

Cain himself was commended for the job he’s done thus far in watching over the city on his own.
