Supervisors discuss RICL easement; court house lighting

Brief discussion about a potential land easement between Franklin County and the Rock Island Clean Line (RICL) energy project highlighted a short supervisors meeting  Monday morning.

Supervisor Corey Eberling gave an update about an informational workshop he attended last week that detailed the various intricacies of the RICL land easement contracts. The supervisors were approached by RICL in March with an easement that would allow the company to cross over county-owned land near the Rolling Prairie Trail during the project’s construction, but they haven’t finalized the contract’s terms or signed anything yet.

Eberling said the workshop provided objective information about the easement contracts.
