Swaledale Library Prepares Memorial Bench For Obregon

The Swaledale Public Library is working on a tribute in honor of Devlin Obregon, the child who tragically died last summer while playing on Main Street. The library has purchased a bench to be installed in front of the building in the child's memory.

"The board and I decided that we wanted something permanent for Devlin," said Library Director Heather Jones.

Young Obregon, who lived across the street from the library, was a frequent visitor. He often came in to use the library's computers and socialize with the other kids.

"He came in all the time," said Jones. "Any time we were open, as soon as the kids were off the bus he'd be in here."
