Swaledale library wraps up summer events

SWALEDALE —  As the summer reading season draws to a close, Swaledale Public Library Director Sherry Hopkins is looking forward to a busy fall season

Among the activities during the summer were the annual reading program, crafts and story time.

“Our number of participants was somewhat down during the summer. We hope to build those numbers back up in the coming months,” she said.

One of the main projects the library staff recently completed was reorganizing the easy reading books for youngsters.

Hopkins said that a Back to School Block Party is being planned for Saturday, Aug. 17.

The rest of the story can be found in the Aug. 8 print editions of the Sheffield Press and Pioneer Enterprise.
