Thornton City Council highlights

     The Thornton City Council approved a $5 service charge on resident’s monthly water bills at their regular meeting on March 7.

     The Council held a public hearing on the matter, and with no comments the measure was approved but will not take effect until after publication, per law.

     There were issues with the drainage tile on Sunnyside, and after looking into it, the drainage portion on the town’s right of way was working properly, so it is a private matter with the property owners.

     The Pals family requested that a memorial bench be constructed in City Park; to honor the late Dallas Pals, and the Council approved the construction.
