Thornton Fire and EMS Host Fish Fry Fundraiser

The weather was perfect for a Friday night fish fry in Thornton this weekend. Members of the community flooded in to the Thornton Fire Station to enjoy a fish dinner courtesy of the Thornton Fire Department and EMS teams.

     "The weather helped. We had good support from the community. You can't ask for anything better," said EMS Wayne Koehler as he prepared another batch of fish for the fryers.

     Seeing a steady stream of people throughout the event, the fish fry was an incredible success. With 160 pounds of fish were served up to the community, along with beans, coleslaw, and homemade desserts, the dinner surpassed last year's turnout.
