Veterans Day in Dougherty

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the “Bells of Peace” will ring out over the plains as American Legion Post 354 of Dougherty commemorates the 100 year anniversary of the end of World War 1 and honors our Veterans on Veterans Day.

At 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11th, they will begin their program with a Welcoming Prayer and a short history of the day’s importance. They ask everyone with a bell, no matter how large or small, to join them in front of the church in Dougherty and participate in this once-in-a-lifetime event.
