Warhawks get new principal, athletic director

New principal Clyde Tarrence wants to be involved

This past May, the West Fork school district saw the retirement of longtime principal Randy Bushbaum, and this fall a new administrator, Clyde Tarrence will take the helm.

Tarrence is a newcomer to West Fork, but not to education. He has been a teacher and administrator for over a decade, in multiple districts and states.

He grew up in the small town of Burt, Iowa and joined the Army Reserve right out of high school after his father passed away. He  joined active duty in the Air Force soon after.

“The first two years of active duty, I didn’t get to come home,” he said. “It helped me grow up quick.”
