Warhawks runner-up at B-K tourney

BELMOND – West Fork’s volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season, falling in the championship match of the Belmond-Klemme tournament against Class 3A No. 12 Iowa Falls-Alden.

The Warhawks lost twice to the Cadets, once in pool play and then again in the finale.

Coach Abbee Dickman’s team was 3-2 on the day, also defeating West Hancock and Garner-Hayfield-Ventura in pool play before defeating Top of Iowa Conference rival North Butler in the semifinal.
