SHEFFIELD – It may not have been the prettiest end to the week, but the West Fork baseball team finished 3-0 in capping it with a 14-5 win over Top of Iowa Conference foe Northwood-Kensett on Friday, May 26.

The bats really took over after a pair of defensive games went coach Lance Thompson’s way in the previous two games.

“It was fun tonight – we finally got the bats going,” Thompson said. “We hadn’t had much success at the plate the first two games, pitching and defense was good those games, but we couldn’t get much going offensively. So, it was fun to see we were able to get some good hits and run the bases a little bit.”
