West Fork answers Bulldog rally for 3-2 baseball win
HAMPTON – Answering a two-run rally by the Bulldog baseball team in the fourth, West Fork answered back with a run of its own in the fifth and held on for a 3-2 non-conference baseball victory at Hampton.
The Warhawks got on the scoreboard in the first after a two-out error on a ball hit by Kyle Rooney at short, a passed ball and then an RBI single and that set the tone for the night.
Coach Lance Thompson’s team added one more in the third with a lead-off double by Rooney, a fielder’s choice error at short on a ball hit by Mitchell Halloran and then a double steal.
