West Fork Board of Education discusses budget, food service

The West Fork Board of Education discussed and approved the school budget for the 2017-18 school year, and discussed the possibility of using a food management firm to take over food operations at West Fork.

At their regular meeting on Monday, Superintendent Darrin Strike went through a detailed presentation explaining to the Board where the school district was at financially.

“Overall as a school district we are very solid,” Strike said. “Things look really solid five years out.”

He said that there will have to be some corrective measures that would need to be done to be solid 10 years from now, but the district as a whole looked very good.

The Board unanimously approved the budget for the next fiscal year.
