West Fork drops opener at St. Ansgar

Jack Sievert rushed 11 times for 137 yards and five touchdowns as St. Ansgar defeated West Fork 66-14 on Friday, Aug. 30.

The Saints also got touchdown runs from Ryan Cole, Lorne Isler, Sam Juenger and Derek Peterson.

Quarterback Cade Duckert also completed 2-of-4 passes for 49 yards and a 35-yard touchdown pass to Sievert.

Warhawk quarterback Kellen Cameron was picked off twice.

St. Ansgar built a 41-6 halftime lead, starting the continuous clock going to start the second half.

The Warhawks will seek to rebound at Lake Mills this Friday night. The Bulldogs opened the season with a 24-8 win over Mason City Newman on Friday, Aug. 30.
