West Fork girls snap Coaches vs. Cancer losing skid

HAMPTON — West Fork girls’ basketball ended a seven-game losing streak at the hands of Hampton-Dumont during its annual Coaches vs. Cancer game, 53-48.

It was the first win against the Bulldogs for coach Rodney Huber.

That fact, Huber said, motivated his girls to get it done.

“It feels really good,” Huber said. “I told the girls that and I think I gave them a little extra motivation because this is my first time beating them and it’s been five-six years. We’ve gotten closer and closer every year, so it’s good to take the monkey off my back.”
