West Fork goes for 11 hits in win at H-D

HAMPTON – Three hits in the opening inning, including a two-run home run for Lexi Jones, helped West Fork set the tone in a 4-3 win over Hampton-Dumont in this non-conference softball contest.

The Warhawks combined for 11 hits, eight against H-D starter Autumn Harlan, as they improved to 8-6 overall.

Jones hit 3-for-4 and scored two of the Warhawks runs against the Bulldogs.

“Last night against Newman we had three hits total and we’d been struggling at the bat,” West Fork coach Abbee Dickman said, “we knew coming into tonight what we had to do and that was probably the best hitting we’ve had all season long. We haven’t put hits together, I think is our problem...."
