West Fork Industrial Arts Students Go Above And Beyond For The Community

It started off simple enough.

     West Fork Industrial Arts instructor Jeff Kudej wanted a project that would give his students some hands-on experience and provide a service to the community at the same time. He was put in touch with Sue Collins of Sunrise Homes and they came up with a plan to replace the garbage partisan at the apartment complex.

     The fall woods class worked on the project off and on for a month, designing the partisan, collecting the materials, and putting it together.

     "The boys learned how to figure out material costs. It's a life skill they can take home with them," said Kudej.

     The project was a success, and it would be the first of many.
