SHEFFIELD – Rylan Fleshner was not feeling the love.

Hitting his first home run of the 2017 season, the third of his career, the only one to greet the West Fork senior during the third inning of this 11-1, five-inning victory over Clarion-Goldfield-Dows was the next batter in the lineup, Dawson Zeitler.

The ball, which cleared the left-centerfield fence, gave the Warhawks a 3-0 lead that opened the floodgates against the Cowboys on Thursday, June 1.

The entire story appears in the June 8 print and online editions of the Sheffield Press and Pioneer Enterprise.
