Bulldogs take home final Franklin Co. Tri

HAMPTON – The final Franklin County volleyball triangular was won with a Hampton-Dumont sweep of West Fork on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

First-year H-D head coach Kelli Showalter said it was sad in a way because she used to teach at CAL, which will be competing for the final time during the 2017-18 school year.

She was glad to start the season 2-0, however. The difference for H-D was the quick offense it ran against the Warhawks two six-footers in the 25-20, 25-17 victory.

“(Hustle plays) and running a quick offense because if we would have run a high, slow offense, we would have gotten blocked in the middle all night long with their two hitters,” Showalter said...
