Sheffield kids spend an afternoon getting creative
The Sheffield Public Library hosted a group of curious youngsters Saturday afternoon at the first Lego Party.
Boys and girls of all ages were encouraged to come with a male role model to the event, and collaborated with dads and granddads to engineer a creation from Legos.
Library Director Jessica Foreshoe read a Lego-themed book to the attendees, hosted a scavenger hunt and challenged the kids to guess how many Legos were in a jar to win a prize.
“I think (the Lego party) went great! It was an awesome turnout with 12 kids and 10 adults. It was so much fun to have kids of all ages here with their family working together,” Foreshoe said. She was happy to see children working together and sharing concepts to get the wheels turning.
